Welcome back, readers. To familiarize you guys with this series, we are covering the four fashion capitals of the world. These are four cities worldwide that have a major influence on fashion as well as streetwear.
Last time, we spoke about London’s influence in fashion and streetwear. We covered things like London fashion week, streetwear brands that came from the city, and also the people behind London’s fashion scene.
I think it’s time for us to travel across the pond for this one.
This particular city has been in the spotlight of streetwear for some years now, and for good reason. Some would argue that this particular city began streetwear as a whole. Known for its influence in pop culture and being the largest English-speaking city in the world, New York City has proven to be one of the four major fashion capitals of the world.
