Welcome back, readers. African Americans have been a major influence in streetwear. From the streets of New York to the runways in Paris. It goes without a doubt that black people have contributed heavily to the world of fashion & streetwear. Now that it is Black History Month (in the United States), I thought it would be reasonable to make a post detailing some of black culture’s best contributions to fashion & streetwear.

Of course, there is so much out there to be discussed, so this article will by no means cover everything. But I will be discussing contributions that you may have known about as well as some that fashion may have overlooked.

So enough talking, let’s get into some of black culture’s best contributions to fashion.
